When disposing of Pack Edge’s Gel Packs, it is safe to dispose completely in your trash. If your community has a plastic recycling option, you can empty the contents in your trash and recycle the plastic packaging.
Although they are non-toxic, the contents of Pack Edge’s Gel Packs should never be ingested. Pack Edge’s Gel Packs contain Sodium Polyacrylate, a superabsorbent polymer like the material used in diapers. These polymers thicken when combined with water to form a gel. Never put them down the drain because they could clog pipes and create a mess (or backup) in your house water.
