Here at Pack Edge, we manufacture all our GEL packs. These contain a water-based gel and a thick outer film that will help keep your product at the desired temperature throughout the transportation process. Our GEL packs range from ½ lbs. to 3 lbs. All GEL packs are available for purchase either frozen or unfrozen.
When disposing of Pack Edge’s Gel Packs, it is safe to dispose completely in your trash. If your community has a plastic recycling option, you can empty the contents in your trash and recycle the plastic packaging.
Although they are non-toxic, the contents of Pack Edge’s Gel Packs should never be ingested. Pack Edge’s Gel Packs contain Sodium Polyacrylate, a superabsorbent polymer like the material used in diapers. These polymers thicken when combined with water to form a gel. Never put them down the drain because they could clog pipes and create a mess (or backup) in your house water.
